Mosaic Link is a community-based public interest initiative launched by Lifeano Inc., dedicated to bridging language and cultural gaps for Chinese-speaking residents in Victoria and Vancouver Island. 

Through this project, we translate high-quality, localized English news into Chinese and offer it free of charge and for non-commercial purposes. Mosaic Link is specially designed to support immigrant communities—particularly seniors and newcomers—who are still adapting to the English language. 

By connecting people with information that matters, Mosaic Link contributes to a stronger, more cohesive, and culturally enriched society.

Many Chinese seniors and new immigrants living in Canada face significant barriers to accessing information due to limited English proficiency. As a result, they often remain unaware of important events happening around them. This information gap not only weakens their sense of social participation but also undermines their confidence and sense of security in daily life. 

Although these residents are actively striving to integrate into the local community and are making efforts to learn English, during the period when language remains a challenge, they find it difficult to access local news and updates—they miss out on crucial information that directly affects their lives and communities.
